I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I provide weekly individual, parent or family psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults. My diverse training and experience includes a variety of short and long-term treatment modalities such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), play therapy with children, psychodynamic and humanistic techniques. I also have specialized training in trauma assessment and intervention.
I use an eclectic and collaborative style to best serve each client. My highly individualized and integrative approach draws from a variety of techniques depending on specific therapeutic goals and needs including mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills. I have a background in fine art that informs and enriches my clinical interactions with both children and adults. With this background I am able to incorporate creative and artistic techniques into therapy as needed and when appropriate. I use an attachment theory lens particularly in working with children. When working with children and adolescents, I find it is important and most effective if I collaborate closely with their parents to support the family system and promote optimal outcomes.
